Recently, 2Face Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba and his estrange friend Augustine Ahmedu, popularly known as Blackface settled their differences.
Since the recent public reconciliation, some fans have insisted that the reconciliation is fake.
2face, Blackface and Faze, were members of the defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz, before they went their separate ways.
After the release of “African Queen” by 2face, Blackface accused him of using the lyrics he wrote to produce the song, without giving him credit. He went ahead to release his own version of “African Queen” by it was not a hit like the one released by 2face.
The have been going at each other all these years as Blackface uses every opportunity he gets to throw shades at 2face.
But the death of Sound Sultan, a Festac boy like them changed everything.
During the a tribute session organized in memory of late singer, Sound Sultan, the three singers were urged to bury the hatchet and resume their friendship and they agreed to mend their friendship.
In an interview he granted Saturday Beats, over the believe by some people that the reconciliation was just a show off, Black said it’s real as they have dropped all bitterness they harboured against each other and have genuinely reconciled.
“I did not feel boxed into a corner by any means. It was a spontaneous reaction and we all know that holding grudges does not help anyone because life is too short. I am at peace with myself and I want him to be at peace with himself too.”
When prodded on the [possibility of a future collaboration between them. Blackface said: “Only time will reveal what will happen in the future.”
On his current projects, he said: “I released a 24-track album titled ‘Rising Sun’ on December 6, 2020. Now, I am working on the follow up called ‘Rising Sun2’ which has 24 tracks as well, and it will be released soon. I hope to tour the country as well.”
