In a disclaimer circulated across media houses, the Aba Ngwa Peoples forum have dissociated self from a post by Hon. Ichita claiming that the group had pledged to pledged their support and solidarity to him and APGA.

Sequel to the Courtesy Visit of Aba Ngwa People’s Forum ANPF(the Apex Body of the Indigenous People of Aba) to Hon., Obinna Ichita (the Aba State Constituency Representative and the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA) at the Abia State House of Assembly on Tuesday, 26th July,2022 and the purported collective endorsement, adoption and support of Hon., Ichita by the Aba Ngwa People’s Forum as posted by Hon., Ichita in his Facebook Wall, the general public should note that:
1.Aba Ngwa People’s Forum is an indigenous pressure group of Aba that has the sole mandate of Economic, Political, Social and Educational emancipation of the Indigenous People of Aba and as such, cannot be lured/dragged into partisanship surreptitiously as it is not a political structure founded by one man.
2.No Member of the Forum(including the President) has the RIGHT to arrogate to himself, the powers to foist any Individual/Candidate, Ideology or Thing on Aba Ngwa in the name of Support without thorough explanation and due consultation of the generality of Aba Ngwa, as the formidable Forum is made up of one people with different political party affiliations(as I am a People’s Democratic Party Member others are in other parties also) and traditional institutions.
3.The courtesy visit to Hon., Obinna Ichita by the Aba Ngwa People’s Forum newly elected Executives led by Prince Jamike Ikonne and some Aba Community Youth Leaders was a visit to a kinsman in the spirit of brotherliness (as other available Aba Ngwa political leaders have also been visited recently) consequent to the executive tour and developmental drive embarked upon by the elected Executives of the Forum and NOT a political party affair. Hence, should not be misunderstood and mistaken for any party activity.
4. The Aba Ngwa People’s Forum is NOT in Acceptance or Support of the Hon., Obinna Ichita’s purported collective support and Solidarity in the Paradigm Shift Mantra by Aba Ngwa People’s Forum as there was no official document/communique issued from the Secretariat to that effect.
In view of the above submissions, Aba Ngwa People’s Forum(ANPF) therefore, Disclaim, Reject and Distance herself from the purported collective support and solidarity by the forum to Hon., Obinna Ichita’s Paradigm Shift Mantra in Aba and Abia State(despite any unguarded/unreviewed words/speech made anywhere by anyone including the presidency) because Aba Ngwa People’s Forum is a Pressure Group.
