AFTER FIVE ATTEMPTS HAKAINDE HICHILEMA IS SWORM IN AS ZAMBIA’S PRESIDENT

The world and indeed Africa stands agog as Hakainde Hichilema is sworn in today the 24th of August 2021 as the President of Zambia after contesting for the office 5 consecutive times!

Hichilema is a baptized Seventh Day Adventist and a businessman. He owns the largest cattle ranch in Zambia. His rise to power was not only fraught with disappointments but also with pains after being imprisoned and charged with treason by the immediate past president Edgar Lungu.

Hakainde won the election on his sixth attempt by a very high margin  grossing 59% of all the votes casted to defeat Edgar Lungu. His victory encourages Opposition leaders across the world.
