Nollywood actor Doris Chima has passed away on Sunday, August 15th after a protracted battle with breast cancer.
The late movie star was said to be a foundation member of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and was at one time the Vice Chairman of Lagos Chapter of AGN.
The actor had undergone surgery in 2020 to remove the lumps from the affected body part after she was diagnosed of having breast cancer.
The newly elected Lagos Chairman of the AGN, Emeka Rising Ibe, confirmed the news when he said she called him some days ago, asking him not to remove her name from the Lagos Chapter list as he is embarking on creating a new Lagos Chapter of the AGN.
He expressed shock over her demise few days after their conversation.
“Yesterday morning, I got a call that she was dead. Though I am yet to visit the family but it is a great loss for us. I pray for the repose of her soul.”
This is a case of one death too many for the Nollywood family.
