CHARLES CHUKWUMA SOLUDO WINS ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the just concluded Anambra State election, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has won the Anambra governorship elections in style, winning 19 of the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission’s Chief Returning Officer for the Anambra Governorship poll, Professor Florence Obi, made the announcement on Wednesday morning.

She said: “That Charles Chukwuma Soludo of APGA, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected.”

But the candidate of the was unable to win any local government in the election.

All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)’s candidate, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, secured 112,229 votes to emerge winner.

Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Valentine Ozigbo secured 53,807 votes to emerge second.

All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Andy Uba, secured 43,285 votes to emerge third.

Young Progressives Party, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, secured 21,261 votes to emerge fourth.
