DAYLIGHT ROBBERY ON MILE 12 BRIDGE, LAGOS

The biggest problem of Lagos is its mad and endless traffic, which those living in Lagos have gotten used to.

These monstrous and endless traffic also attract criminals to such areas, especially during the night hours. Hiding under the cover of darkness, these criminals attack motorists and unleash mayhem on them if they fail to part with their phones and valuables.

This has left many commuters in Nigeria’s commercial capital living in fear following the upsurge in the operation of traffic robbers.

But these days, the armed robbers are becoming more daring as they have started attacking motorists during the day.

This morning, commuters and drivers were forced to abandon their vehicles this morning on top of Mile 12 bridge, Lagos as robbers smashed car windows, vandalized vehicles and stole what they could find inside the abandoned vehicles.

The robbers accost road users with weapons by tapping the side windows of their cars. They then rob them of their properties that they can easily carry. Failure to wind down sometimes lead to smashing the side window or windscreen of the vehicle after which the victim would be attacked and injured in most cases.

We hope the authorities will do something urgently to arrest this ugly trend on to of Mile 12 bridge.
