Five farmers were reportedly killed in Modakeke, Osun state by unknown assailants on Friday morning.
It was gathered that the yet-to-be-identified persons were on their way to a farm in Toro when they were brutally murdered.
Reports say that there was tension between Ife and Modakeke residents over the incident.
Yemisi Opalola, the Osun State Police Command Spokesperson, confirmed the incident said that security operatives had been deployed to the area to restore peace.
