Nollywood Actor Kingsley Orji cries out as he claimed that one self-acclaimed human right activist Harrison Gwamnishu defrauded him of the sum of N5 million donated to him by Ibori Ubulu, for his medical treatment in India.
Orji was involved in a serious accident in June 2019 which affected his hip bone which has rendered him bedridden for many months. He has resorted to using crutches.
In the video that went viral, Orji said he has been going around begging for help to enable him go to India for surgery. He said Ibori Ubulu came to his rescue and offered to him out. He said the said man sent him N1.5 million and sent the remaining N5 million to Gwamnishu’s account, pending when he is ready to travel to India.
He went for visa and was told that he has to show evidence that he can finance the treatment and shoulder travelling expenses before the visa will be granted.
So he called on Gwamnishu to release the remaining money to him, he refused to release the money, asking him to send the N1.5 million Ubulu sent to him first before he will release the rest of the money.
But in a swift reaction to the allegation, Harrison Gwamnishu wrote this on his Facebook wall: “Kingsley Orji don’t have plans to travel to India for surgery etc. 6.5 million was donated by my brother Ibori Ubulu, 1.5 million naira was sent to his account and 5 million naira to my account.
“The boy chop 1.5 million and wanted me to send him the 5million naira.
“I REFUSED – if it’s you, will you send to him?
“Receipts, chats available when full report drops.
“NOTE: I was instructed to facilitate his travel and give account.”
