As the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB continues today, masked operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and Police have taken over the premises of the Federal High Court, Maitama in Abuja.
The hooded armed officers were seen stationed at the entrance of the Federal High Court with motorbikes and vehicles preventing human and vehicular movements into the area.
IPOB has vowed to storm the court in large number, but promised to be orderly. But the government is not taking everything for granted and has decided to resort to this measure.
People living around the area and those lodging in various hotels around the area are being prevented from moving in and out as the officers insisted that they were on a special operation in the area and appealed to them for understanding and to remain indoors.
