It’s actually a show of shame and an indictment on the country’s health system as Consultants, Senior Doctors, in their hundreds are seen lined up and filling forms for Saudi Arabia recruitment exercise.
The event took place at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Sheraton Hotels, Abuja, as a consultancy firm, Meeds Consultancy, commenced interviews for those willing to work in Saudi Arabia.
With the incessant strikes of medical doctors in the country poor welfare package for them, hundreds of doctors have left the shores of the country to work in Saudi Arabian hospitals where they are offered better packages.
More will still leave, leaving a paltry few to cater for the medical needs of the country.
