Nigerian footballer, Kelvin Ifeanyi Odinaka Nathaniel Igweani has been reportedly shot dead by the UK Police in the United Kingdom.
The officers were said to have attended a call-out to a house where a child was seriously injured.
The Police said in a statement that officers were called on Saturday to a property in Two Mile Ash, Northwest Milton Keynes, at around 9.40 am, and made a forced entry after acting on information from a witness.
When they gained entry, they found a man in his 30s who was later confirmed dead, and a young child with serious injuries.
They also located a man who is believed to be a Nigerian footballer, Kelvin Ifeanyi Odinaka Nathaniel Igweani, 23. The officers deployed a Taser before shots were fired at him.
He was treated by the ambulance crew but was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Police.
The child was taken to a hospital for proper care.
The Thames Valley Force is currently investigating the incident, Daily Mail reports.
