While the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) are threatening to embark on an indefinite strike on Thursday, the President Buhari will on Tuesday embark on a medical trip to London for routine check-up.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement titled “President Buhari billed for routine check-up in London.”
Adesina said “President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday March 30, 2021, for a routine check-up.
“The President meets with security chiefs first in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey.
“He is due back in the country during the second week of April, 2021.”
It should be recalled that the President Buhari has spent at least 200 non-consecutive days in the UK for medical reasons since he became President in 2015.
His longest spell outside the shores of this country was in 2017 when he spent 51 days from January 19 to March 10; and 104 days from May 8, 2017 to August 19, 2017.
