Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe whom most people revered and see as the voice of Ndi Igbo and supporter of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) amongst the political elites was today booed, abused and chased away from the market by members of IPOB.
Abaribe went to Ogbó Ogwu at Onitsha to campaign for the Anambra PDP governorship candidate, Valentine Ozigbo but was booed, abused and chased away from the market by IPOB members in the market.
I don’t think he deserve such treat for standing up in defense of the group while other top Igbo politicians stayed away from issues concerning the group.
This is the same man that risked all to stand surety for the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and members of the can’t even give him the respect he deserves by allowing him campaign in peace.
I don’t think this act will encourage other politicians to identify with the cause they are fighting for if they can humiliate such a man the way they did.
