Former CBN Governor and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, and Senator Andy Uba, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, threw shots at each other during the Anambra governorship election debate organised by Arise TV.
During the debate, the Soludo, claimed that Andy Uba did not do anything meaningful for his people when he was a Senator.
Responding, Uba said he was the one that ‘mentioned’ Soludo’s name for the office of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor to Obasanjo.
According to Uba: “You were saying that in my eight years in the Senate I did not do anything. What did you do? I mentioned you as the Central Bank Governor. What have you done so far.”
“You haven’t done anything. They brought you to me. My brother brought you. How can you say what you don’t know?”
Responding, Soludo said: “I know Andy was a masseur in the US. He was a domestic staff in the villa, who cleans the President’s shoes.
“If throwing up my name gives Andy Uba a CV, then I will concede that too.”
the Soludo went for the jugular: “You don’t have a certificate. You forged it. I will show you here. Do you have a secondary school certificate?
“When did you graduate? You have a secondary certificate in 1974? You had SSCE in Enugu? It is a forgery! Your history is here. I can show it to you from INEC.”
